In a surprising collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
